Experience
I believe that I can meet or exceed the qualifications needed to tutor Mathematics. I am a graduate from Georgia Piedmont College graduating December 2011 with a degree in Accounting. I finished the Winter 2010 and Spring 2011 Quarters, and Fall 2011 Semester with a solid 4.0 GPA and made the President’s List at my college. I have passed the Georgia Assessment for the Certification of Educators Basic Skills Exam scoring a 290 out of 300 in the Mathematics Tests. I have also taken the Georgia Paraprofessional Exam and Georgia Middle Grades Mathematics Exam. I have over 4 years of experience in working with school-age youth. I currently work at high school mathematics teacher teaching Coordinate Algebra, Analytic Geometry, and Pre-Calculus. I have worked at The Galloway School as a high school learning specialist and for Academic Advantage Tutoring in Tucker. I have also worked with several programs including All About Math as a Tutor for the DeKalb County School System, Morehouse College as Lead Program Designer for the Project Identity Fourth and Fifth Grade Program, and at the Excel Tutoring Program as a middle and high school math tutor. Students are provided a notebook with paper, pertinent notes, and pencils to complete assignments. Students are also given supplemental materials in the form of homework, exercises, and online enrichment to help develop mastery skills in mathematics. Also, It is the responsibility of the caregiver to provide an environment conducive to learning.
